Shelby Ownbey is filing suit against Aker Kvaerner Industrial Constructors and New Jersey corporation R&R Scaffolding, alleging Ownbey was injured when assembling and placing scaffolding delivered by defendant. Ownbey was standing on top of a canopy 155 from the ground when the scaffolding motor fell off causing one side of the scaffolding to fall down, knocking plaintiff from the canopy to the sidewalk Price: $10

Michael Osiecki, on behalf of the estate of Virginia Osiecki, deceased, is filing suit against Michigan corporation Sunrise Senior Living Services, d/b/a, Sunrise Northville Assisted Living, alleging decedent fell and fractured her pelvis when attempting to get into a wheel chair without assistance. Frederick Peavy, a resident of Texas is filing suit against FDL and Flair Design, et al., alleging Peavy ordered barstools manufactured by defendant. Steven Mauriello, a Massachusetts resident, is filing suit against Lowe's Home Centers, after he was crushed by the refrigerator he ordered from defendant. The suit alleges the delivery personnel arrived and realized that the truck's lift mechanism was not operating, so they called their supervisor who came to plaintiff's home and then asked plaintiff to help him and the other workers lift it off of the truck. Melvin Thornton, is suing Kansas-based Mitten, alleging he stopped at defendant's premises to repair the alternator belt of his tractor trailer, the employees removed the driver's side steps, believing they needed to do this to access the battery. Once the employees realized the battery had an access door they replaced the steps, but only retightened the blots slightly. Arnold Newhouse is filing suit against Siemens Energy & Automation and the West Virginia Employers Mut Ins Co, dba, Brickstreet Mut Ins., alleging Newhouse was cleaning the insulators on a 15,000 volt transformer in Mariette, Ohio, when he heard the noise of subsonic wave loading testing that was begin performed on the ground, believing the transformer has been powered on while he was on top of it, Newhouse fled for his life, throwing himself on the ladder to avoid electrocution. Donald Lamont Allen, Jr., a Louisiana resident is filing suit against Wal-Mart Stores and Wal-Mart Louisiana, alleging that he struck his index finger on a metal barrier of defendant's soda shelf, which caused him to pass out and fall down. Allen stated he was attempting to obtain a two liter bottle of coke, but it was jammed under the bar designed to prevent bottles from falling out of the front of the shelf. James McNiff is filing suit against Florida resident Mark Elble and Runo and Runo dba, Daiquiri Deck and Oceanside Grille for battery against Elble and negligence against Runo and Runo for serving McNiff and his friends alcohol beverages, although they were visibly intoxicated when they arrived. The suit alleges McNiff, Elble and two mutual friends were at defendantts premises when Elble attacked McNiff for saying something about his current girlfriend, forcing McNiff over the deck, causing him to fall 8 to 10 feet on to the asphalt below. Nuria Rosado, on behalf of the estate of Manuel Caraballo, is filing suit against The Virgin Horse Racing Commission and Traxco, alleging decedent fell off of his mount while still inside the starting gate, at a race in St. Croix. The horse handler saw decedent fall and was frantically screaming at the starter and gate mover to stop, but defendants proceeded to move the gate with a tractor, crushing decedent who was on the ground underneath. The suit alleging decedent was left on the ground for more than fifteen minutes and was pronounced dead at the hospital. Price: $10
Quadriplegic sues home builder after falling down uneven stairs.
John and Maureen Wulff are filing suit against Westmont Builders-Developers, Adea Property Management, and the City of Missoula, Montana for failing to properly inspecting the newly constructed home the Wulff's rented from Adea. Plaintiff's rental home was located outside of the Missoula city limits. In order for the home to connect to the city's sewer system it had to comply with the International Residential Code. Plaintiffs allege that the city's inspectors failed to recognize that the stair treads in the home were uneven. As a result of defendants' negligence, plaintiff John was rendered a quadriplegic due to a fall on the uneven stairs. Price: $10
